Assessment Of Oral Mucositis In Patients Undergoing Chemoradiotherapy With Oral Mucositis Specific Quality-Of-Life Questionnaire-A Hospital Based Study

Abstract : Oral mucositis(OM) is a debilitating side effects that are commonly experienced by patients undergoing chemoradiotherapy particularly those receiving treatment for head and neck cancers. The aim is to assess oral mucositis specific quality of life (OMQoL) questionnaires in the patients undergoing chemoradiotherapy with oral mucositis. 60 patients from Saveetha cancer institute with oropharyngeal mucositis were investigated with a OMQoL questionnaire followed by Statistical analysis. EXPLORING THE SYNERGISTIC ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY POTENTIAL OF LYCOPENE-RASPBERRY HERBAL EXTRACTS: IMPLICATIONS FOR ORAL HEALTH AND CHEMOPREVENTION

Abstract : Oral microbial flora has been established to be one of the predisposing factors for oral carcinogenesis and utilization of herbal medicine such as Lycopene and Raspberry with enriched antioxidant properties as topical formulations will aid in chemoprevention. Aim and Objectives of the study is to formulate and assess the antimicrobial and antioxidant property of lycopene-raspberry herbal formulation. This study includes the usage of Lycopene (10%) and Raspberry (25%) which are subjected to anti-

CBCT guided morphological assessment of mandibular concavities: A precision implant assessment

Abstract : Dental implants are commonly used to replace lost teeth and are made of alloplastic materials inserted into oral tissues to support fixed or removable prostheses. The extraction of molars due to dental issues often leads to dentition defects, making implant treatment a standard solution. Accurate bone assessment at the implant site through clinical examination and radiographic imaging is crucial for successful outcomes. Key factors include the implant's position, angulation, and its relationship

Clinical Practice Guidelines For Dental Treatment In Patients With Dementia

Abstract : Dementia refers to the decline in cognitive abilities like thinking, memory, and reasoning, significantly affecting daily life. Rather than a specific condition, it's a complex syndrome stemming from various brain disorders leading to decreased cognitive function. It often results from multiple diseases, with Alzheimer's disease being the most prevalent among the elderly. Other forms include vascular dementia, frontotemporal lobar degeneration, Parkinson's disease, and dementia with Lewy bodies.

Condylar Morphological Changes in Diabetic Patients: A Digital Panoramic Radiography Study

Abstract : Ortho pantograph is one of the most common radiographs dental surgeons use to evaluate information about teeth, maxilla, mandible, bony structures, and other pathology findings. The mandibular condyle is the most important structure of the mandible, which changes due to the aging process, developmental abnormalities, and trauma. This study aims to evaluate the presence of morphological variation in the mandibular condyles in diabetic patients using a panoramic radiograph. A total of 100 panorami
