Validation Of The Method Of The Parasitological Examination Of Stool At The Ibn Rochd University Hospital In Casablanca (Morocco) According To The Requirements Of The NF 15189 V2022 Standard
In Morocco, and since the entry into force of the Guide for the Good Execution of Medical Biology Analyses (GBEA), the implementation of a quality approach in medical biology laboratories has become a regulatory obligation. In this context, the Parasitology-Mycology Laboratory of the Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca has joined this voluntary dynamic and has scheduled a review of the validation files of analytical techniques according to the ISO 15189 V 2022 standard. The objective of this study is The initial and continuous verification/validation of methods of the scope of accreditation of the parasitological examination of stool with the aim of continuous verification of the skills of practitioners in medical parasitology. 10 stool samples with different species, stages and parasite loads and Six slides, stained with Kinyoun for the search for coccidia and with different and known parasitic loads were also studied. For the verification of the mastery of the analytical skills of the staff and on all the concordance tests carried out, 88% of correct answers were given by all operators concerning the search for and identification of parasitic elements at the level of the stool samples and 95.22% of correct answers for the search for coccidia. Inter-operator variability is an indicator of the mastery of the implementation of qualitative methods in order to ensure the control and maintenance of the operators' skills (staff accreditation).
