Clinical Practice Guidelines For Dental Treatment In Patients With Dementia

Abstract : Dementia refers to the decline in cognitive abilities like thinking, memory, and reasoning, significantly affecting daily life. Rather than a specific condition, it's a complex syndrome stemming from various brain disorders leading to decreased cognitive function. It often results from multiple diseases, with Alzheimer's disease being the most prevalent among the elderly. Other forms include vascular dementia, frontotemporal lobar degeneration, Parkinson's disease, and dementia with Lewy bodies.

Condylar Morphological Changes in Diabetic Patients: A Digital Panoramic Radiography Study

Abstract : Ortho pantograph is one of the most common radiographs dental surgeons use to evaluate information about teeth, maxilla, mandible, bony structures, and other pathology findings. The mandibular condyle is the most important structure of the mandible, which changes due to the aging process, developmental abnormalities, and trauma. This study aims to evaluate the presence of morphological variation in the mandibular condyles in diabetic patients using a panoramic radiograph. A total of 100 panorami

Recommended checklist for the application of the consensus method in the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines

Abstract :

The efficacy of intermittent fasting (IF), as an emerging weight management strategy, in improving cardiometabolic health has been evaluated in various populations, but that among Chinese individuals has not been systematically studied. A comprehensive search on multiple databases was performed to identify eligible randomized controlled trials (RCTs) up to October 2022. The primary outcome was post-intervention weight loss, and secondary outcomes included changes in cardiometabolic indicators

Development and validation of a prognostic nomogram after hepatectomy for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma based on SEER database

Abstract :

The only curative treatment option for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA) is liver resection. Due to central tumor localization and vascular invasion, complex liver resections play an important role in curative treatment. However, the long-term outcomes after complex liver resection are not known. A retrospective cohort study was conducted for all patients undergoing liver surgery for iCCA. Complex liver resections included ante situm resections, associating liver partition and portal vei

A pioneer in addressing societal challenges with evidence-informed decision-making: Global Commission on Evidence

Abstract :

Evidence-based decision making is promoted as offering efficiency and effectiveness; however, its uptake has faced barriers such as underdeveloped supporting culture, limited access to evidence, and evidence that is not fully relevant. Smart city conceptualizations offer economic and environmental sustainability and better quality of life through evidence-based policy decision-making. We wondered whether smart city theory and practice has advanced the knowledge of evidence-based decision-maki
